    Diameter: 3.5 cm
The replica of an egg “Bud of rose”, the first of Easter gifts (in 1895) of the Emperor Nikolai II to his wife Alexandra Fyodorovna, who recently became an Empress. The Egg is made in a shape of elegant box with gold garlands and wreaths of laurel leaves, tied up ribbons and shooting arrows against a red enamel background. They were symbols for love, quite characteristic for the 18th century. The color of the original egg was red with a bud of rose inside, as a reminder to the Empress of her native land.
The original Egg is in the collection of the Russian oligarch Victor Vexelberg.
